Possibly, the best cruelty free make-up remover of all time?!

If you’re looking for the best cruelty-free makeup remover ever, this is it.

The Dizzolv’it Makeup Melt Cleansing Balm easily melts away make-up (including hard to remove waterproof liquid eyeliner!) and other skin products, including sunscreen and heavy foundations.

I became aware of this product through a goody-bag I received at blog award ceremony this year. I used the Dizzolv’it balm the night I came home from the event and was blown away at how well it removed my eye make-up, and how easy it made make-up removing routine. I was impressed!

The balm comes in a tub and has a small scoop, to allow you to pick up the product easily and apply it to target areas of your face. The best way I can describe the product, is that it literally feels like the balm is melting away your make up. The light pink balm responds to your body heat, melting into a silky liquid as you rub the product into your skin. It feels like a light, cleansing oil and is easily wiped away with a cotton pad, removing every single bit of makeup along with it!

Whenever I spend the day/night wearing make-up, I always use the Dizzolv’it balm when I get home. It makes removing my make-up so much quicker and prevents me from tugging on my eyes when removing resilient eye-makeup. All I have to do is apply a tiny amount of the balm across my eye lid and in one sweep, I can remove almost 90% or more of my eye-makeup.

Even thought the balm is cleansing, I would suggest cleansing your face with your usual face wash afterwards. Just to make sure you’ve removed all of the product and leave your skin feeling fresh.

A little goes a long way with this product and it is lasting me ages. I will absolutely be re-purchase this product in the future and i’d highly recommended it to anyone who loves stress free make-up removal and cruelty free beauty products.

Dr Organic Hemp Oil Restoring Hair & Scalp Treatment Review

As a lot of you may know, I really love the Dr Organic range. They are cruelty free and I am loyal to their Rose Otto range and have tried several other products from their company over the years. Recently, I came across the Dr Organic Hemp range and was so intrigued by the benefits these products claimed to have. Hemp oil is a popular natural remedy that is high in Omega fatty acids and has a similar make up to skin lipids and it acts naturally as a anti-inflammatory.

The Hemp Oil Restoring Hair & Scalp Treatment is a mousse based product that contains hemp oil and a mixture of bioactive, natural and organic ingredients. It’s list of impressive ingredients act to stimulate hair growth and help prevent hair loss, as well as treating the scalp to a little TLC.

I have been using this treatment for a few weeks now and I have noticed that when I went to get my roots bleached recently, they were almost twice as long as usual! I am not sure if that was totally down to this product but I believe it certainly helped. Usually after bleaching my roots, my scalp can be quite tender and sometimes can become a bit flaky. However, I believe this product helped calm my skin over time and allowed it to heal after the trauma of bleaching.

The mousse also adds body to my hair as it lifts my hair up slightly at the roots after I dry my hair. I feel as though the health of my hair has significantly improved since I started using this product as a part of my hair routine. My hair looks healthier at the root and feels stronger.

I use this product in conjunction with the Hemp Oil Rescue Shampoo & ConditionerI discovered that when using this treatment, less is more. If you use too much mousse on your scalp it can dry hard and create a crispy texture to your hair. I usually only use three pumps of the mousse at a time and massage it into my scalp before using a comb to distribute some of the product throughout the rest of my hair. Another thing worth mentioning is the smell, some people find the scent of hemp to be very pleasant and others not so much. Honestly, once the product dries I can no longer smell it at all. Overall, the product works well for me and I enjoy the result it gives.

Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub Review

I was given the Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub as apart of a Christmas gift. It came as apart of the The Sweetest Thing gift pack along with some other Lush goodies. Usually whenever I see this product in Lush it is being promoted at the till and costs about €7 I believe. Which in all honesty, is pretty pricey for some caster sugar mixed with jojoba oil. Which is exactly what this product is made of.

That and some pink colouring and bubblegum flavoring.

Now don’t get me wrong, I love Lush products. Heck, I like this product! However, the ingredients are nothing special and you could literally make this at home for a fraction of the cost. It does do it’s job though, I keep this product by my night stand and often use it to remove dead skin before bed to keep my lips silky smooth. The product itself smells like candy and tastes very sweet.

It comes in a heavy glass jar, which is sturdy enough to be reused after the product runs out. You can find some pretty cool homemade lip scrub recipes here! They will probably cost you a fraction of the price or nothing at all, as most of the ingredients you may have lying around at home.

Pro’s of the Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub:

  • It does its’s job and looks cute

Con’s of the Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub:

  • It’s nothing special, you can make something similar at home for free/cheap.

Are Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub’s Cruelty Free?

YASSSSSSSSS! All Lush products are cruelty free.

Overall thoughts on the product:

I like it. I use it often and it does the trick at removing dry skin from my lips. It is a good product to use in the winter time or if you are prone to dry lips but is quite costly for such a simple product.

June Favourites 2015: Makeup, Netflix, Fashion & More!

The Makeup Addict Tag!

1. What product do you keep buying more of, despite having plenty of in your collection?

Definitely more lipstick! My favorite shades are usually pinks & reds but on occasion I do love to take a bit of a risk with a deep plum or black lipstick. I just love how applying lipstick can really finish off your look. I find lipstick to be a really glam product, it makes me feel ten times better whenever I wear it. When it comes to lipsticks, a girl can never have too many shades!

2. What’s the one product you can’t live without?

The one product I couldn’t live without would have to be mascara. I feel like I look like a sheet of white paper with pupils when I don’t wear any mascara! Most days I don’t wear any make-up at all, except for mascara. I usually give my lashes a quick curl with an eyelash curler, then slick on some black mascara and I am good to go for the day. Ohhh & hair dye, I need that in my life!

I used to hate not wearing any make-up but now I prefer to only wear it once or twice a week. Most days i’m barefaced! Someday’s I will wear a mineral foundation from Beautiful Movements Cosmetics, it’s breathable and light on my skin, I don’t even feel like I am wearing make-up when I have it on! It looks so natural. I love the fact that Beautiful Movements Cosmetics are cruelty free.

3. Favourite makeup brand?

My favorite make-up brand would have to be a tie between Barry M & Urban Decay. Both are cruelty free companies that sell fantastic quality products. Barry M have amazing pigmented lipsticks and vibrant nail polishes. I love Urban Decay’s eye shadow palettes. I wish I was good at applying eye shadow so I could make the most of them! Ohhh also, I love Collection 2000.

Okay, so I’ve three favorite brands!

4. How big is your makeup collection?

I’ll put it this way, my boyfriend sighs whenever I bring home any new beauty products or make-up. He can’t understand how one person own so many beauty products, hah! He is probably right! I mean, how many shades of red lipstick can one girl own? (A lot is the answer, a lot!) I do think my collection is probably very small in comparison to other beauty bloggers though.

5. How do you store your makeup collection?

I store my make-up in a plastic drawer in my bathroom and some other make-up is stored in some funky boxes in my room. I try to keep my make-up in order but sometimes it’s impossible!

6. How many items of makeup do you have in your handbag at the moment?

I always say that my handbag is like the Barney bag, full of weird surprises! I always carry some tissue, face powder & lip balm, no matter what. Other than that, I am not too fussy. If I am going somewhere special or on a night out, I always carry make-up reinforcement! If I am wearing eyeliner or lipstick, I carry it in my bag to top it up through out the night.

7. If you could raid another blogger’s stash, who would it be?

That would have to be my friend LetzMakeup. She is well educated about make-up and beauty products. I just really trust and value her opinion on different products, so I know her stash would be a gold mine for any make-up lover! Her make-up is always so on point. She’s so talented!

8. How long does your makeup routine take and how many products do you use?

It depends on where I am going. If I am at home or just running errands, I will wear little to no make-up at all. A slick of lip balm and mascara does me fine, I like to let my skin breath when I can because it is so sensitive. If I am going somewhere special, I put in more effort.

If I have time I put on foundation, brow gel, a neutral eye shadow and my my ‘go to’ winged eyeliner look. I love lining underneath my eyes too. I have a specific flick I draw near the inner corner of my eyes that always makes me feel more dolled up! Then I finish off with a bright lip.

9. Have you ever bought makeup knowing you wouldn’t use it?

Oh my god, YES! Hasn’t every girl? It happens far more often than i’d like to admit! Sometimes I will have have a moment of madness and think that I can pull off some mad coloured eye shadow or somehow think I will magically have the skills to use a certain product correctly. Then I convince myself I need it in my life and when I get home I think to myself ‘why the hell did I buy this?’
