This outfit of the day post is unique as it is inspired by one of my absolute favourite films/books of all time, The Virgin Suicides by Jeffrey Eugenides. The aesthetic of the film version has always fascinated me and director Sofia Coppola’s style is undeniably haunting and feminine all at once.
Under each photo is a quote that struck me while reading the book. The pages of The Virgin Suicides captivated me when I first read them and these words still take my breath away.
We felt the imprisonment of being a girl, the way it made your mind active and dreamy, and how you ended up knowing what colors went together.
Their desire was silent yet magnificent, like a thousand daisies attuning their faces toward the path of the sun.
We knew that the girls were really women in disguise, that they understood love, and even death, and that our job was merely to create the noise that seemed to fascinate them. We knew that they knew everything about us.
And that we couldn’t fathom them at all.
In the end we had pieces of the puzzle, but no matter how we put them together, gaps remained—oddly shaped emptiness mapped by what surrounded them.
Like countries we couldn’t name.

Last night I attended the Irish Beauty Blog Awards 2016 in Dublin city. I wore a dressy casual outfit and *shock! horror!* I actually wore colours. That’s right! I stepped away from my usual uniform of all black clothing to try something different from a change. Summer is all about wearing bright colours so I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and wear an all-colour outfit for once.
I have always been drawn to pretty pastel colours and I really enjoyed wearing this combination of baby pink and baby blue shades together, paired with some light grey jeans. I kept my accessories simple by just wearing a beautiful statement hairband that really completed my look for the night.

Winter has rolled around faster than any of us could imagine, the days are shorter, the air is crisp and most of us are feeling the festive vibe as we count down the days to Christmas. Personally I’m a Summer girl but what I love about the Winter, is how stunningly beautiful the scenery can be. December is a time when we find our way through the haze and into the New Year.
Winter solstice is upon us and the world “solstice” literally means “Sun Stands Still”. My outfit was inspired by the magic and mystery in the air during this festive season.
My Amethyst Night Spell necklace is from Night Venus and my blue Agate, spiraled necklace is from Moonbeams in Tullamore, Co.Offaly. What I love about my spiraled necklace is that it is adjustable, so I can change the stone instead to suit my mood. It’s one of my favorite accessories.
This year I have discovered one of my favorite fashion accessories, midi rings. They are just so incredibly comfortable to wear! I am in love with my Three Line Midi & Crescent Moon Midi rings.
This Sun & Moon Dress from Romwe is currently my favorite dress to wear, as it is loose fitting and very comfortable. I really love the print, I have always been fascinated with Astronomy and the Solar System, so this dress really shows off my personality. I paired the dress with this stylish Black Bowknot Hat (also from Romwe) and long black cardigan from Dunnes Stores.
To complete the look, I wore some barely black tights from Pennys/Primark, along with my favorite pair of black boots from New Look. My square handbag is from Anne Smith, this is my go-to bag this season because it is practical and simple, it goes with almost any outfit!
Halloween may be over a month away but that hasn’t stopped me from getting into the spooky spirit! Today I wanted to share with you some of my favorite products from September and spooky bits n’ bobs I picked up this month in the run up to Halloween.
Pennys/Primark have been selling some really pretty fake eyelashes and for a very reasonably price tag. I picked up two sets of lashes and I can not wait to try them out! A lot of the time affordable lashes are just as good, if not better than some name brand lashes.
I picked up this cute flying eyeball necklace in Tiger, which is perfect for any one who loves to incorporate some weirdness into their everyday look. Which is a really unique and quirky shop that sells loads of random bits and bobs to suit everyone. You can find almost anything at Tiger!
My favorite purchase from this month is my Vampire Teeth clutch bag from ASOS. It’s a fun twist on the already popular red lips clutch bag. This bag is perfect to take to a Halloween party if you don’t want to dress up in costume, it goes with almost any outfit and keeps the Halloween spirit alive. I think it is such a fun and unique bag, i’d pair it with a cute party dress & heels.
This month I have been trying something totally new with my make up routine. I have been using a mineral foundation by Beautiful Movements cosmetics. The shade I use is called Fairy Glow, it is the perfect shade for my skin colour! Which is a rarity, believe me. The product is so light weight and blends beautifully into my skin. I am so impressed with this product, I love using it during the day time as it covers any redness I may have and looks so natural on my skin. I’d recommend this product to anyone who is looking for an alternative to using liquid foundation as this product does not look cakey and when you wear it, you feel like you are wearing no make up at all!
Stay tuned for my September favorites video to find out what else i’m loving this month!
This summer i’ve been taking inspiration from many different kinds of style, looks and music. Lately I have been very inspired by Cyber Goths and their eye catching outfits. I think their style is so unique and fun! I wore a Cyberdog holographic crop top along with a silver holographic skirt from romwe, which I think compliment each other really well. I paired the outfit with my favorite chunky black wedged buckle boots and to complete the look I accessorized my outfit with a 90s inspired tattoo choker and my fave holographic sunnies!

Festival season is here! I am always excited to see who wears what at all the big music festivals around the world. There reall is nothing more blissful seeing your favorite musicians live while enjoying the summer sunshine! I decide to put together my own festival inspired look. I wore this eye this eye catching Sailor Moon t-shirt, which would make me easy to spot in a crowd! I paired the t-shirt with my favorite dip dye shorts along with chunky black boots, a faux leather back pack and a pair of funky holographic sunglasses to complete the entire look!

My biggest fashion inspiration right now is American Horror Story: Coven! I love everything about the show, including the fashion. The girls at Miss Robichaux’s Academy always look fierce.
I took inspiration from one of the Coven’s finest members, Zoe Benson.
I wore a black vintage style hat like she did in the show, along with a peter pan collared dress. To give the look a more gothic feel I wore distressed black tights along with a pair of dainty black wedges. To complete the look I accessorized with a pair of round black sunglasses and a small black and gold shoulder bag. Oh! And of course every witches best friend, her spell book!
